EVOX RIFA STARTS MARKETING MICRO ANALOG SYSTEMS PRODUCTS IN NORTH AMERICA

An agreement was signed between Evox Rifa Inc. and Micro Analog Systems Oy (MAS) of Espoo, Finland to market the products of MAS in North America.

MAS, a former subsidiary of Nokia, manufactures advanced application-specific ICs mainly for wireless and datacom applications. MAS has also developed a process for manufacturing miniature networks of passive components (resistors, capacitors, inductors) which greatly reduces their physical size. Such technologies are in increasing demand in the rapidly growing wireless markets where sophisticated features are being offered in products small enough to hold in the hand. The MAS technology for manufacturing these "integrated passive devices" is quite advanced and shows great promise in meeting the needs of high volume wireless device manufacturers.
