EVOX RIFA STRENGTHENS ITS TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW THROUGH ACQUISITION
Evox Rifa Group has acquired a Swedish company, Dectron AB,
which concentrates on demanding electro-technical solutions.
The acquisition strengthens Evox Rifas technical know-how
in the development of capacitor-based solutions for specific
customer needs. Evox Rifas result per share is expected
to increase during 2002 due to the Dectron acquisition.
Dectrons turnover was 17 million SEK in 2000 and it
employs 21 persons in Öland, 10 km from Kalmar where
Evox Rifa already has manufacturing facilities. Dectron has
grown on average by 21% per annum during the last three years.
Dectrons technical know-how is strongest in the field
of EMC/EMI testing and interference suppression filters as
well as in the area of switch mode technique for lighting
systems. The company has a complete EMC testing laboratory.
Dectrons application know-how will particularly complement
the "design-in" function of Evox Rifa.
Dectron becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Evox Rifa. The
founder and former owner of the company continues as companys
Managing Director after the acquisition.
Evox Rifa designs, manufactures and markets globally capacitor
solutions to key industrial sectors in which the need of passive
components is continuously growing. Key sectors are telecommunications,
automotive electronics, industrial electronics and consumer
electronics. The company concentrates on plastic film and
paper as well as electrolytic capacitors. The strength of
Evox Rifa is developing special solutions in close cooperation
with customers.
Evox Rifa Group Oyj was listed on Helsinki Exchanges in the
autumn of 2000.
