EVOX RIFA COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF BHC

Evox Rifa Group has completed the acquisition of the British BHC Aerovox Ltd. The combination of Evox Rifa with BHC creates a leading manufacturer of electrolytic capacitors in Europe and one of the biggest in the world.  Combining an efficient and profitable company with Evox Rifa Group will bring a considerable amount of additional knowhow and resources to the company.

The acquisition creates a larger customer base, which will give additional sales opportunities for both electrolytic and film capacitors. The brands of both companies are maintained and there will be no changes in the sales channels in the short term.

Through the acquisition BHC becomes a subsidiary of Evox Rifa and is part of a newely established business area of electrolytic capacitors. Mr. Lars-Göran Stenberg has been appointed  director of the new business area as from May 1, 2002.  He has been business unit manager of Evox Rifa AB in Gränna since 1999 and has a long experience in international business .  Evox Rifa’s manufacturing sites for electrolytic capacitors are situated in Gränna, Sweden, in Nantong, China and now in Weymouth, U.K. Lars-Göran Stenberg reports to the Group President, Harri Launonen in Finland.
